Women in the United States have a “1 in 8” (or about 13 percent) lifetime risk of getting a breast cancer diagnosis. Like many cancers, breast cancer may not necessarily display symptoms, which is why giving yourself a monthly breast self-exam is important! A cancer diagnosis can be many things, startling, overwhelming and emotional, but there is always hope. Researchers are working around the clock, fighting for continued research, funding, and support for the cause.

This week, we want to spotlight Healthline’s recent Breast Cancer Resource Guide. With resources like African American Breast Cancer Alliance, Health Resources and Services Administration, and Young Survival Coalition, Healthline has gathered a variety of breast cancer resources to help provide reliable information for non profit resources, network and support groups, financial and treatment assistance.

What you need to know from Healthline this week.
