Mayfly Outdoors Announces Expanded National Partnership with Casting for Recovery, Introducing Limited-Edition Gear with Giveback

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Montrose, CO — May 2026 — Mayfly Outdoors today announced the expansion of its national partnership with Casting for Recovery (CfR), building on a collaboration that began in 2025. The partnership continues to bring together purpose-driven product innovation and direct financial support, with a portion of proceeds from select gear benefiting CfR’s no-cost, oncology-informed fly fishing retreats for women with breast cancer.

As part of this expanded partnership, Mayfly Outdoors is supporting Casting for Recovery’s 30th Anniversary campaign, The Jane Project, including the national sweepstakes featuring an 2026 INEOS Grenadier Fieldmaster, helping to elevate awareness and generate critical funding for programs nationwide.

Limited-Edition Gear Designed with Purpose

The expanded product lineup introduces limited-edition gear designed to connect performance on the water with impact. The Airlite Versa Trout 905 x CfR, from Airlite, launches in May 2026 in celebration of Mother’s Day. Built with a smooth, forgiving medium action, the rod is designed to be approachable and confidence-building for anglers of all experience levels, performing seamlessly across dry flies, nymphs, and light streamers. Finished with Casting for Recovery–inspired detailing, a portion of proceeds from the limited run of 250 units (MSRP $399) will directly support CfR’s no-cost, nature-based wellness retreats.

In October 2026, timed with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Ross Reels will release the Cimarron Creek Reel x CfR (MSRP $399), a reimagined click-pawl reel designed for feel, simplicity, and trout-focused waters, featuring custom engraved elements and signature pink accents.

The partnership also extends across Airflo products, with a portion of proceeds from select fly lines contributing to Casting for Recovery, broadening the impact across essential gear categories.

Partnership Momentum

The partnership between Mayfly Outdoors and Casting for Recovery continues to grow through product collaboration, storytelling, and financial support, reflecting a shared commitment to community, wellness, and expanding access to the outdoors.

“As a brand rooted in thoughtful design and time outside, this partnership feels like a natural extension of what we stand for,” said Shelby Rossi, Director of Marketing at Mayfly Outdoors. “It brings together purpose-driven products with an opportunity to support connection, resilience, and community for women across the country.

From the Casting for Recovery perspective, the collaboration represents far more than a product partnership. “Partnerships like this help introduce new audiences to our mission while directly funding retreats that provide critical support, connection, and healing,” said Stacey Benham, Director of Marketing and Communications at Casting for Recovery. “It’s how we continue to expand access and serve more women navigating breast cancer.”

The retreats offer opportunities for women to find inspiration, discover renewed energy for life and experience healing connections with other women and nature. CfR’s retreats are open to women of all ages, in all stages of breast cancer treatment or recovery, at no cost to participants.
