Ciao! 2017 Retreat Season Wrap

 In Blog

It’s hard to imagine that Casting for Recovery is wrapping up its twenty-first retreat season. Since 1995, we’ve been dedicated to providing the 2.5 day retreat experience to women with breast cancer—and the growth is astounding. The launch of CfR started with one pilot retreat in Michigan and with dedicated outreach, fundraising and volunteerism, has developed from there. Today, we’re nationwide (and PROUD of it!) with international efforts in Canada, UK/Ireland, Australia, Italy and New Zealand. In 2017 alone, Casting for Recovery has served more than 600 women, including inaugural retreats exclusively for women with metastatic breast cancer, Native American women and the female Veterans who have been touched by breast cancer.

Casting for Recovery is thankful for our supporters. Whether you’ve donated your money, time, or heart (by simply spreading the word about what we do), it’s appreciated! We’re stoked for what 2018 has on tap for us, but for now, let’s take a look back on the joys and fun of the 2017 retreat season and what the experience meant to our participants. In their own words, captured in their own way.
