The mission of Casting for Recovery (CfR) is to enhance the lives of survivors and thrivers of breast cancer through wellness retreats that connect women to each other and nature using the therapeutic sport of fly fishing, and providing oncology medical and psychosocial support – all at no cost to the participants!

Our Curriculum Focus & Values:

Empowering Women

Our innovative retreat model, hailed as “life changing,” empowers women and cultivates confidence through learning something new in the outdoors.

Mental Health & Wellness

Retreats feature the presence of medical oncology and psychosocial professionals, providing one-on-one and group support throughout the duration of the event.

Conservation

Set amidst breathtaking natural landscapes, our retreats prioritize environmental stewardship, teaching proper fish handling, catch & release principles, and sustainability.

For nearly 30 years, Casting for Recovery has provided healing fly fishing retreats serving more than 12,000 women.
