Last week, October 16th – 19th, the fly fishing industry gathered in Denver, Colorado for the annual International Fly Tackle Dealer show (IFTD). IFTD brings together manufacturers, retailers, guides, media, outfitters and organizations – Casting for Recovery was proud to be a part of the festivities! Bigger than ever before, the show had over 2000 attendees representing 41 countries. IFTD features innovative new products and honors individuals doing great work in the industry. This year was extra special for Casting for Recovery because of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The industry stepped up in a BIG way with an awesome show of support. All attendees received a pink lanyard thanks to our friends at SIMMS! Many booths across the showroom floor displayed signs of support for CfR. One lucky attendee also won a special CfR artist series Orvis H3 rod.  In addition, we gave away buttons and it was so fun to see them pinned to backpacks, name badges and shirts. We are humble and grateful for all the love from our national sponsors, partners and friends!

Special shout out to the American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA) for their commitment to #KickPlastic by ensuring a completely single-use plastic free show! CfR was honored to be included on a #KickPlastic panel to share the efforts we’ve made to also lessen the use of single-use plastic at our retreats.

It was great to see so many longtime supporters, volunteers and friends!  Thanks to everyone that stopped by the CfR booth the say hi and to the fly fishing industry for the continued support, it means so much to us and the women we serve! We look forward to being back in Denver for IFTD 2020!
