Importance of Sleep
March is Sleep Awareness Month and it’s been almost a full week since we’ve turned our clocks ahead to ‘spring forward’ with Daylight Savings Time. Losing one hour can be a difficult, even when gaining daylight. Studies prove that sleep has a multitude of benefits supporting our learning and problem solving skills, memory, mood, better balances our circadian rhythm and for breast cancer survivors, improve survival rate. This week we are showcasing some educational articles on how sleep (or deprivation of) can have an effect on cancer survivors.
