At this time, we are planning to hold full retreats in 2021 with COVID-19 safety protocols in place. We will continue to monitor CDC and local health guidelines and will adjust our program accordingly to provide the safest experience possible for the women we serve and our volunteers. If there are any changes in retreat status, we will notify applicants and participants.
The 2021 retreat applications are now open for most of our retreats; those that are waiting for a date or venue information will become active as soon as that information is confirmed.
The mission of Casting for Recovery® (CfR) is to enhance the quality of life of women with breast cancer through a unique retreat program that combines breast cancer education and peer support with the therapeutic sport of fly fishing. The program offers opportunities for women to find inspiration, discover renewed energy for life and experience healing connections with other women and nature. CfR serves women of all ages, in all stages of breast cancer treatment and recovery, at no cost to participants.
Our Commitment
Casting for Recovery recognizes and embraces the full spectrum of diversity within all of our communities. CfR’s board, staff and volunteers invite all voices to be heard, and treat respectfully all who reach out to CfR, regardless of race, ethnicity, age, ability, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, socioeconomic status, and geography. CfR is committed to an organizational culture that builds respect, dignity, fairness, caring, equality, and self-esteem.
