2022 CfR Retreat Applications are Open!

 In Blog

Casting for Recovery is gearing up to head into it’s 26th retreat season with applications for most of the 2022 season’s retreats posted so you or someone you know can apply. As Additional retreats’ details are confirmed, they will be added, so please check back periodically!

Who May Apply

Any woman who has received a breast cancer diagnosis (any stage of treatment or recovery) may apply.

At this time retreats may only be attended once so we may serve as many women as possible.

Casting for Recovery strives to reduce barriers to access. We will do our best to accommodate any special needs you might have including diet, mobility issues, etc. Commitment: Casting for Recovery recognizes and embraces the full spectrum of diversity within all of our communities. CfR’s board, staff and volunteers invite all voices to be heard, and treat respectfully all who reach out to CfR, regardless of race, ethnicity, age, ability, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, socioeconomic status, and geography. CfR is committed to an organizational culture that builds respect, dignity, fairness, caring, equality, and self-esteem.

Where You May Apply

Where a woman can apply depends on where she lives. To find your retreat:

Click on the state (or region of that state) below where you live, which will bring you to a page with more information. Choose the retreat that is in your state or that is closest to where you live (use Apply button below). Applications may not be submitted to more than one retreat location. If you missed the deadline for the retreat that is closest to where you live, we encourage you to apply next year.

Selections: The random selections are typically made within ten days of the application deadline, and all women are notified of their status. The deadline to apply for each retreat can be found on its application.

PLEASE NOTE: For 2022, CfR is requiring all volunteers and participants to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and to submit proof of their completed vaccination at least two weeks prior to the start of the retreat. This allows us to provide the safest experience possible for all who attend. Additional safety protocols (face coverings, etc.) will be communicated as needed.
