CFR Florida
Our retreat is the acclaimed national non-profit organization Casting for Recovery’s program for breast cancer survivors. The organization offers a fly-fishing retreat for selected Florida women in all stages of breast cancer who apply for the program. Not only are participants instructed in how to engage in the wonderful sport of fly-fishing, but also the participants are given the opportunity to share stories in a safe and supportive environment while receiving psychosocial and medical expertise surrounding their breast cancer treatments.
The dates for the next retreat, a two-and-a-half day program, is April 6-8, 2013. Lodging, meals, equipment, and events are at no cost to the selected participants. Those interested in participating in the program can find out how to apply for the program at www.CastingforRecovery.org.

We are happy to report that the most recent Florida retreat was a huge success! Thirteen women experienced two days of fishing, fly tying, and, of course, bonding.
