CFR Connecticut

CFR-Connecticut began the weekend of August 1, 2003 with our retreat in West Cornwall, CT. In 2013, the CT retreat will be held at the Wisdom House, in Litchfield, CT. As a country retreat and conference center, Wisdom House spans 54 acres of meadows, woods and brooks. Indoor and outdoor sanctuary areas and labyrinth encourage meditation, prayer and creative thinking.

The Farmington River Literary Arts Center
Held a Benefit Dinner and silent auction for CFR  at  The Gristmill Restaurant on
September 30, 2011. Mr. Bill Case, Farmington fly-fisherman and President of Trout Unlimited, reminisced about the wonders of the Farmington River.

A Casting for Recovery Day was sponsored by The University of Connecticut Health Center Auxiliary. It was a great day with demonstrations of fly fishing and fly tying, delicious pig roast and music by the Sky Blue Boys of Vermont, artists painting “en plein air,” and a diverse silent auction.

Casting for Recovery relies on the enthusiasm and support of its loyal volunteers to plan and staff our retreats, as well as conduct fund-raising events. Volunteering will enrich your life and the lives of others with new hope, new skills. Click here for a volunteer application.
